ArtistsinAuction, the premier online auction house for emerging artists, has created a new and exciting online forum to buy, sell, and collect artwork from a group of carefully-curated artists from across the United States. Through the ArtistsinAuction online auction and catalog, collectors from all walks of life, with varying budget ranges, will have an easily and readily available gallery of artwork to choose from to enhance their personal art collections. From the convenience of their own homes, new and experienced collectors will be able to truly embrace ArtistsinAuction's motto: Art is for Everyone. The extensive ArtistinAuction catalog will showcase the work of 20+ artists who specialize in everything from photography to painting, from drawing to sculpture.

Featured artists include:

Photographer Billy Newman’s deep interest in the elements of nature that encompass our everyday lives is revealed through the digitally processed photographs of his subjects. Newman studied at Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California. Painter Alex White-Mazzarella, urges viewers to explore and transcend their worlds and cultures through a conceptual imagination and his use of acrylics, oils, and charcoal, among other mediums, combining color, line and motion.  Fiber Artist Clairan Ferrono, creates fiber collages and drawings by piecing, fusing, stitching and quilting both commercial cloth and fabric she has dyed, painted, discharged or printed by hand. Ferrono is currently a full time studio artist living in Chicago, and relies on an emotional—rather than an intellectual—center for inspiration. Her spontaneous work style has earned her national and international recognition.

ArtistsinAuction's new website will go live on September 8th and will feature a regularly updated blog, written by an art world insider, that will focus on artists, events, must-see exhibitions, and collectors, allowing readers to stay up-to-date on the latest happenings on the local, national and international arts scenes. The site will also feature information on how artists may sell their work in future collaboration with ArtistsinAuction.

Bidding begins October 15, 2009 with the public launch of the catalog and will close on the final day of the auction on December 5, 2009. For those eager to buy, a limited selection of pieces will also be available for immediate purchase through the online gallery up until the catalog goes live. This year ArtistsinAuction has joined hands with New York City’s Children’s Museum of Art, one of the oldest children’s art museums in the world. A portion of the proceeds from all artwork sold during the December auction will be donated to the museum to help this fine institution further its goal of “celebrating the artist in every child.” For information on the Children’s Museum of Art, please visit
